Answer from Cass Business School:

Dear Mia,

Despite not having any business related qualifications, you would still be eligible to apply for our MBA. I have attached some details but part of the admissions policy is to have a student cohort with a very broad range of backgrounds.

City University also has a school of journalism that you may be interested in and you can find more information at the following link :

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Answer from Cranfield:

Dear Mia

You do not have to have a business-related qualification for our MBA programme. We do not have a programme focusing on media communications management, but our MBA programme prepares participants for global roles in any business sector. We have, for example, about 12 MBA alumni working for the BBC in various roles - including reporter, producer, consultants, strategy managers and finance managers.

Answer from Open University Business School:

Hello,

Many thanks for your enquiry to the Open University Business School.

To reply to your first question about the availability of postgraduate management courses for those people who have not graduated in a business-related field, this short online questionnaire about your experience and the postgraduate qualifications offered by the OUBS should be of help:

www3.open.ac.uk/oubs/qualifications/bestcourse.asp

In reply to your second question, the Open University Business School does not currently offer programmes that focus on global media communications management. You may find many of the themes in the School's more general courses of interest and of relevance to this specific theme.

I hope this initial information is useful. If you would like any more

With regards information, please do not hesitate to contact me again so that I can forward your enquiry to the most appropriate of my colleagues.

Answer from Said Business School:

Dear Mia

Thank you for your e-mail. The Oxford MBA is a generalist degree covering all major management disciplines, we do not have a course that focuses on media communications management. Please see www.sbs.ox.ac.uk/mba for further details. It is not necessary to have a business related degree.

I hope this helps, please contact me if you have any further queries.

Best wishes
Alison
