It is possible to do an MBA with your background. However, have you had any work experience? The two minimum criteria we have are English level of 7.0 IELTS or 600 Toefl and at least two years full time employment . We would need to look closer at your Bachelor degree before knowing whether you would have to do an English test. In any respect we prefer IELTS over TOEFL as it is a better indicator of academic English profieiency. The English section of the GMAT should be relatively easy for you if you have a sophisticated level of English. You may need quite a bit of preparation on the quantitative section.

Good Luck

Answer from Cranfield:

Dear Alexander

You do not need to study Economics to allow you to study for MBA. You do however need three years postgradaute work experience.

For more information please look at our website www.cranfield.ac.uk/som/mba .

Answer from Manchester Business School:

Dear Alexander,

Thank you for your enquiry. We require a minimum of three years work experience after your undergraduate degree.

You would not need to take TOEFL if you have taken your degree in English but you would need to take GMAT. The best way to prepare for this is to visit their website www.gmac.org to obtain details of sample questions.

Answer from Said Business School:

Dear Mr. Kleibrink,

Thank you for your e-mail enquiry. I can confirm that we do waive the TOEFL or IELTS, only, when the candidate has got a degree from an American, Australian, British or Canadian University.

Although, there may be some flexibility on this issue, however this will very much depend on the rest of your application, as the admissions committee and the MBA Director have to review the whole application before a final decision can be made.

Therefore, we are unable to give further indication with regards to your suitability for entry to the Oxford MBA without receiving a complete application from you.

To obtain the most complete and up to date information on the Oxford MBA programme and application procedures, please refer to our website at www.sbs.ox.ac.uk. I can confirm that the 2003-2004 admissions will be structured in stages and we will process applications received on one of four different deadlines. These deadlines are: 1st November 2002, 10th January 2003, 14th March 2003 and 16th May 2003.

There is a downloadable brochure on our website. The link is: http://www.sbs.ox.ac.uk/html/mba_structure.asp
