1. What does it mean to you to have been selected as a "Global Leader for Tomorrow"?

To me being selected gives validity to the purpose of the organization to which I have dedicated a portion of my life’s work. I made a conscious decision to leave the earning potential of a consulting job to get Global Village Engineers off the ground. Because the organziation is unique in the nature of it’s mission being selected as a GLT means that the efforts and sacrafices I have made to introduce this work have not been done in vain.

2. You have been selected by the World Economic Forum for what you have already done in your life, "holding positions of considerable power, influence and responsability". What are the 3-5 things you are most proud of?

I am most proud of several things:

a) Clearly the one item I am most proud of is the demonstrated ability our organization to give a voice to those in need in order that they may better influence the environment in which they must survive.

b) Secondly, I am proud of the fact that our organization has been so strongly embraced as a valuable asset by both those in need of it’s services and those providing the services.

c) Thirdly, I am proud that so many members of the engineering and environmental community, one that is not well known for philanthropic endeavors, feel that Global Village Engineers rejuvinated their energy in their choosen profession.

3. The World Economic Forum is "committed to improving improve the state of the world". You will participate in shaping tomorrow's world. What impact would you like to have?

My plans for the immediate future are to develop a strong sustainable organization with the goal of being the foremost respected international volunteer-based engineering organization. Beyond that goal, I’m open to any challenge that supports realistic goals toward an improved planet. The impact I would like to have in to leave beneficial change in my wake.
